Stone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. pkg. multi kinds beans, covered with water overnight
    1 qt. water
    3 c. tomato juice
    chopped ham, ham hocks or Polish sausage
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 clove garlic, minced
    juice of 1 lemon
    salt, pepper and cayenne
Preparation
    Drain beans; put in large kettle.
    Add all.
    Simmer 30 minutes after final addition and serve.
    Good with warm fresh bread!
