Chilled Strawberry Cake Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) box strawberry Jell-O
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. sliced frozen strawberries
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1 angel food cake, baked
    1 pt. whipping cream, whipped
Preparation
    Dissolve Jell-O in 2 1/2 cups boiling water.
    Stir in strawberries, sugar and salt.
    Cool until it begins to thicken, then fold in whipped cream.
    Break up 1/2 of cake into chunks; cover bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Pour 1/2 of Jell-O mixture over top.
    Break up other 1/2 of cake; form another layer.
    Cover with other 1/2 of Jell-O mixture.
    Refrigerate 4 to 5 hours.
    Cut into squares.
