Persimmon Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar or 1 1/2 c. white sugar
    2 c. milk
    4 c. persimmons or 1 c. persimmon pulp
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    pinch of salt
    1 1/2 c. flour or enough to make a cake
    2 eggs, beaten
    butter or lard the size of a walnut
    cinnamon, cloves or nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Mix milk and persimmons; squeeze with your hand and run through a colander or sifter.
    If using the 1 cup persimmon pulp, omit milk.
    Mix pulp with remaining ingredients and pour into iron skillet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
