Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix all together and let come to a boil for exactly 2 minutes, not stirring after sugar is dissolved.
    Take off of stove and hasten cooling by putting in a pan of ice water for a few minutes. Then start beating until creamy.
    Do not attempt to put on the cake until thick enough not to run off.
    If it gets too thick, a drop of hot water will soften it.
