Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. water
    1 c. white syrup
    3 egg whites
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix well 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water, then heat to boiling until mixture strings.
    Pour over three well beaten egg whites. In separate pan, mix 3 cups sugar, 1 cup white syrup and 3/4 cup water.
    Heat to boiling until brittle when tried in cold water. Add 2nd mixture to 1st mixture, pouring gradually.
    Beat until stiff.
    Add 1 cup chopped nuts and vanilla.
    Pour by teaspoon onto waxed paper.
    Let cool.
