Fried Apple Pies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vinegar
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Combine egg with water.
Sprinkle over flour mixture.
Add vinegar and stir mixture forming a ball.
Wrap in waxed paper and chill for at least 1 hour or until ready to use.
Yield:
pastry for about 1 1/2 dozen (5-inch) pies.
