Caramel Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/4 c. quick oats
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 c. thin sliced, peeled apples
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. caramel ice cream topping
Preparation
    Mix vanilla wafers crumbs, walnuts, oats, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.
    Cut in butter until crumbly.
    Pat 2/3 of the mixture into an 8-inch glass dish.
    Microwave on High for 1 minute.
    Toss apples with lemon juice in bowl.
    Spread over crust.
    Drizzle with caramel topping.
    Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Microwave on High for 4 to 5 minutes or until apples are tender. Turn dish 1/2 turn after 2 1/2 minutes.
    Serve warm with ice cream.
    Serves 4.
