Gram Sommer'S Soft Sugar Cookie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. oleo or butter
2 eggs
1 c. sweet milk, buttermilk or sour milk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla or orange juice
4 c. flour

Preparation

Beat together until light and fluffy the sugar, oleo and eggs. Mix dry ingredients in sifter.
Sift into egg mixture, adding alternately with milk.
Add flavoring.
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle with sugar or cinnamon sugar. Bake in 375\u00b0 oven until lightly brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
