Seafoam Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 qt. cold water
    1 (1 1/2 oz.) envelope unsweetened lemon-lime soft drink powder
    1 pt. vanilla ice cream
    2 (7 oz.) bottles lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled
Preparation
    Place sugar and water in large punch bowl.
    Add soft drink powder and stir until powder dissolves.
    Add vanilla ice cream, one spoonful at a time.
    Pour in the carbonated beverages, resting the bottle on rim of bowl.
    Serve immediately.
    Yields 16 servings.
