Grandma'S Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. cloves
    3/4 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Mix together all ingredients in the order listed.
    Form dough into balls the size of a nickel.
    Place on greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    If desired, shake in bag of powdered sugar while still warm.
