Fruit Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 box brown sugar or 1 c.
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. vanilla
6 slices candied pineapple
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. citron
1/4 lb. butter or Crisco
1 c. unsifted plain flour
2 c. pecans, broken
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar and add 1 egg at a time; beat. Then add flour and vanilla. Place nuts in bottom of pan; put batter on nuts and spread lightly. Place fruits, that have been chopped and mixed, on top of the batter. Press into batter with back of spoon. Bake 40 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven. When cool, cut into squares.
