Plantation Pecan Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups light brown sugar
    2 sticks margarine
    2 large eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 cup chopped pecans
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Melt margarine in
    a saucepan.
    Sift flour and baking powder together.
    Mix sugar with melted margarine.
    Beat eggs slightly and add to sugar mixture.
    Stir in vanilla and flour mixture a little at a time until all is used.
    Stir in pecans.
    Grease a 13 x 9 pan and add mixture.
    Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
