Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
    2 c. hot water
    2 c. ginger ale
    1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
    1 large can pineapple, drained (retain 1 c. juice)
    2 or 3 bananas
    2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    1 egg
    1 c. pineapple juice
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in water; add ginger ale, marshmallows, pineapple and bananas.
    Place in a 9 x 13-inch dish and chill until congealed.
    Mix together in a saucepan the powdered sugar, flour, oleo, egg and pineapple juice.
    Cook until thick.
    Cool and beat. While cooling, beat in Cool Whip.
    Spread over salad.
