Holiday Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 1/4 c. flour
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    8 eggs
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chopped raisins
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. chopped cherries
    1/2 c. pineapple juice
Preparation
    Sift flour with
    baking
    powder
    and
    salt.
    Cream 1 cup butter and 2
    cups sugar.
    Add dry ingredients with milk.
    Beat egg whites until
    stiff.
    Fold
    into cake mixture.
    Add vanilla and mix well.
    Bake in layers at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
