Scalloped Asparagus And Artichokes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (14 1/2 oz.) can green asparagus, drained
1 (14 oz.) can artichoke hearts, drained, halved and juice reserved
2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms, drained
4 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. artichoke juice
salt and pepper to taste
8 oz. grated sharp cheese
Preparation

Cut asparagus in half lengthwise.
Place asparagus, artichokes and mushrooms into layers in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Melt butter and blend in flour.
Slowly add milk and artichoke juice, stirring to make a thick cream sauce.
Add salt, pepper and half of grated cheese to the sauce.
Pour over the vegetables.
Top with remaining cheese.
Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Serves 6.
