Ingredients

1 Tbsp. butter
1 chopped green pepper
1 chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef
salt and pepper to taste
1 (1 lb. can) green peas
1 (3 oz.) can mushrooms or tomato sauce
1/4 c. shortening
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking
1 c. self-rising meal
Preparation

Place butter, green pepper, onion and beef into a 2-quart casserole dish and brown over medium heat.
Add the peas and mushrooms or substitute tomato sauce for the mushrooms.
