New England Boiled Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. corned beef
    3 medium size parsnips
    3 medium size carrots
    2 white turnips
    1 small head cabbage
    6 potatoes
    6 small beets, cooked
Preparation
    Wash meat with cold
    water,
    cover
    with cold water and bring to the boiling point.
    (If
    very salty, it may be soaked in
    cold water for several hours before cooking.) Skim, cover the kettle and simmer until the meat is tender (4 to 5 hours).
