Oven Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. lean stew beef
    4 large potatoes, cut into chunks
    6 carrots, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    1 onion, diced
    1 c. sliced celery
    3 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
    2 c. canned tomatoes, or tomato juice
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine
    all
    ingredients
    in a heavy Dutch oven.
    Stir thoroughly from bottom.
    Cover and bake at 300\u00b0 for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
    (In a crock-pot, cook for 3 1/2 to 5 hours.)
