Buttermilk Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 stick butter
    3 Tbsp. white Karo
    1 c. buttermilk in which 1 tsp. soda has been dissolved
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix sugar, butter, Karo, salt and buttermilk in saucepan. Cook until soft ball stage.
    Take from heat and allow to cool. Beat until creamy.
    Add vanilla and nuts; pour on buttered plate. Slice when cold.
