Ingredients

2/3 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
sugar
Preparation

Combine oil and 1 cup sugar in large mixing bowl.
Add egg and beat well.
Stir in molasses.
Combine flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and ginger.
Add to molasses mixture, stirring well.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll each one in sugar.
Place 2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool.
Yield:
about 4 dozen.
