Fried Bows - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 doz. eggs
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 sticks oleo, melted and cooled
    pinch of salt
    approximately 9 c. flour
    5 heaping tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat eggs until lemony; add sugar, vanilla and oleo.
    Gradually add flour mixture.
    Mix to make soft dough, adding more flour, if needed.
    Knead a few times until smooth.
    Roll out 1/4-inch thick on floured board.
    Cut in squares; make a slit in center, about 1-inch and slip the corner in slit to make a bow.
    Fry in deep oil until light brown.
    Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
