Layered English Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box frozen Green Giant early English peas
    1/2 c. chopped purple onion (or green onion)
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 can sliced water chestnuts
    1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    lettuce
Preparation
    Fix peas according to directions on package.
    Drain and put in\tbottom of dish.
    Layer the onion next, then the water chestnuts.\tNext, layer the celery.
    On top of the celery, put the bell pepper.
    Next put a layer of shredded lettuce.
    Cover this with
    the mayonnaise.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve. This is best when you refrigerate it overnight.
