Key Lime Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 eggs, separated
1 (15 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
3/4 c. fresh lime juice
1 Tbsp. grated lime peel
1 (9-inch) pie shell, prebaked
1 c. heavy cream, whipped
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0.
Beat the egg yolks for 5 minutes or until thick.
Slowly add condensed milk, lime juice and lime peel; then set aside.
In another bowl, with clean beaters, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
Do not beat whites stiff. Gently fold the condensed milk mixture into the beaten egg whites. Spoon into pie shell.
Bake 20 minutes or until the filling is firm.
Serve at room temperature with a dollop of whipped cream
