Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 egg
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add egg, applesauce, flour, salt and cinnamon and mix well. Mix 2 teaspoons soda with 1/2 cup boiling water and add to the mixture. Add raisins and nuts. Bake in prepared pan 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
