Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
3/4 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (10 oz.) pkg. (1 1/2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
In large bowl, combine 1 cup sugar and vegetable oil; mix well.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Gradually add flour mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Shape into balls; roll in remaining sugar or use colored sugar.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes approximately 5 1/2 dozen.
