Golden Gate Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 (18 oz.) cans pineapple juice
    2 c. strained lime juice
    1 qt. strained orange juice
    1 1/4 c. lemon juice
    2 qt. chilled ginger ale
    Colored ice cubes
Preparation
    Combine sugar and water; heat to boiling. Cool. Combine fruit juices. Add cooled sugar syrup and chill. Just before serving, add ginger ale and colored ice cubes. To make ice cubes, blend food coloring with water before freezing. Yield: 5 qt.
