Buttercrunch Candy("A Favorite From The '76 Cookbook.") - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. nuts, finely chopped
    1 c. butter or oleo
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. water
    6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add sugar, corn syrup and water.
    Cook, stirring often, to hard crack stage (300\u00b0 on candy thermometer). Remove from heat and stir in nuts.
    Pour quickly into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Spread chocolate chips over top.
    Let set.
    Break into pieces.
