Beef Wellington - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Quick Puff Pastry
    3 lb. trimmed fillet of beef
    salt and pepper to taste
    vegetable oil
    1/4 c. chopped, fresh mushrooms
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. brandy
    1 c. prepared or canned liver pate
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Early in the day or the day before, prepare Quick Puff Pastry and reserve.
    Trim any fat from fillet; season with salt and pepper.
    Brush with oil.
    Place on rack in roasting pan; roast in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes (for a rare roast).
    Remove from oven, cool to room temperature.
