Vegetable-Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. bag lentils, washed
    2 qt. water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. bacon lard
    3 cubed potatoes
    3 carrots, sliced
    3 (14 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 large onion, diced
    1/2 green pepper, diced
    3 stalks celery, diced
Preparation
    Put lentils, water, salt and lard in big soup pot and bring to boil.
    Cook on medium 30 minutes.
    In frypan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and saute onion, green pepper and celery until tender.
    Add to lentils.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Cook until vegetables are tender.
