Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    4 medium green tomatoes, sliced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, salt and pepper on waxed paper.
    Coat slices with flour mixture.
    Melt 1 tablespoon margarine in large skillet over medium heat.
    Add tomatoes in a single layer.
    Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until lightly browned and just barely tender. Remove to serving platter.
    Repeat with remaining margarine and tomatoes.
    Serves 4.
