Easy Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
dash of salt
2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1 oz. sq. unsweetened chocolate or 3 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 baked 9-inch pastry shell
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Combine 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt in a heavy saucepan. Mix well.
Combine milk and egg yolks; beat with a wire whisk 1 to 2 minutes or until frothy.
Gradually stir into sugar mixture, mixing well.
Place over medium heat and stir constantly until thickened and bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Add chocolate, butter and vanilla extract, stirring until chocolate and butter melts. Spoon into pastry shell; set aside.
