Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. raw Spanish peanuts
    1 Tbsp. molasses
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, peanuts, corn syrup and molasses in 2-quart microwave-proof mixing bowl.
    Microwave at High 4 minutes.
    Stir. Microwave at High an additional 4 minutes.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Microwave 1 minute longer and remove from oven.
    Add baking soda.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Spread on aluminum foil covered cookie sheet to cool.
    Break in pieces when firm.
    Makes about 1 pound.
