Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pt. strawberries with stems
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 1/2 tsp. margarine
    1 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. rum (if desired)
Preparation
    Wash
    strawberries.
    Gently
    pat
    dry.\tPlace
    on paper towels until
    room
    temperature.
    In
    top\tof double boiler or saucepan over
    hot water, combine chips, margarine, corn syrup and rum. Heat
    until chips are melted, stirring occasionally. Turn off heat.
    Hold chocolate mixture over lukewarm water for dipping. Dip
    each strawberry into mixture until 2/3 of berry is coated. Allow
    excess chocolate to drip off.
    Place berry, stem side down,
    on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet to harden. Chill until chocolate
    is
    set,
    about\t15 minutes.
    Serve as confection or garnish
    for fruit trays or desserts.
    Makes 36 to 48 strawberries.
