Pecan Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. unsifted flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
    dash of salt
    1 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and 1 tablespoon of water together. Add in flour, chopped pecans and dash of salt. Blend together with wooden spoon or by kneading (add flour OR water as necessary to get a good play dough-like consistency). Roll into 1-inch balls (or egg shapes for Easter). Freeze (once shaped) and pull out to bake at a later date OR bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Allow to cool, then roll in powdered sugar.
