Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar (light or dark)
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. shortening or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
2 scant c. flour (unsifted)
1 tsp. soda
2 c. oatmeal (uncooked)
1 c. coconut
2 c. cornflakes or Special K or other cereal
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat well. Add salt, vanilla, flour and soda; mix well. Add oatmeal, coconut and cereal; beat slowly. Mixture will be thick.
Drop from spoon on greased cookie sheet. Press down with fork. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
