Fresh Orange Layer Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
grated rind of 1 orange
2/3 of 1 c. liquid (1/4 c. unstrained orange juice and 3/4 c. water or milk)
Preparation

Beat vigorously 2 minutes. Add remaining 1/3 cup liquid and 2 medium size eggs. Beat 2 minutes more.
Pour into two 8-inch round greased pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
