Cold Oven Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 c. whipping
    1/2 lb. butter (pure)
    6 medium size eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Have everything at room temperature.
    Cream the butter.
    Add sugar, a little at a time.
    Cream well after each addition.
    If it gets too thick or heavy, thin with a bit of cream. Add flavoring. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well on high speed after each. Add flour and cream alternately.
    Beat on No. 3 speed. Bake in tube pan. Start in cold oven. Bake at 275\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 for 1 hour. Don't open oven. At the end of this time, turn cake around and bake 20 minutes longer.
