Good Housekeeping Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. or 2 sticks butter or oleo
    6 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    2 c. sugar
    4 large eggs
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) can chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 9 x 9-inch baking pan.
    In a 3-quart saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and oleo, stirring frequently.
    With wooden spoon beat in sugar and eggs.
    Stir in flour, vanilla, salt and nuts.
    Spread batter in pan.
    Bake 45 to 50 minutes.
    Cool, then cut into 16 brownies.
