Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large or 2 small pkg. strawberry jello
    2 c. hot water
    1/2 c. red hots
    16 oz. (2 c.) applesauce
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1/2 c. pineapple
Preparation
    Dissolve red hots and jello in hot water.
    Add applesauce. Pour 1/2 into mold and chill.
    Blend cheese and pineapple into soft paste.
    Spread over chilled jello.
    Pour rest of liquid jello over and chill.
