Ingredients

3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. hot water
1 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
1 c. chopped dates (pitted)
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts)
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Cool Whip
Preparation

Mix sugars and flour; add hot water and butter. Cook on top of stove until thick, stirring often. Add nuts and dates, let dissolve slightly. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Stir, pour into dish and cool. Add Cool Whip.
