Rocky Road Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    6 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/3 c. milk
    4 c. powdered sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. broken walnuts
    6 to 8 quartered marshmallows
Preparation
    Melt shortening with cocoa over boiling water.
    Heat milk to simmer and pour over sugar and blend well.
    Add cocoa mixture and vanilla.
    Beat until slightly thickened.
    Stir in marshmallows and nuts.
    Spread on cake.
