Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Beat together margarine and sugar with a spoon.
    Beat in egg, oil and vanilla.
    Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.
    Stir into margarine mixture.
    Chill dough 1 hour or until easy to handle.
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
    Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Flatten to 1/4-inch with the tines of a fork, dipping fork in sugar.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes. Makes 40 cookies.
