My Favorite Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 slices bacon
1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans, snapped into 2-inch pieces
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce plus 3/4 can water
2 Tbsp. diced onion (optional)
Preparation

Cook bacon in a saucepan until crisp; drain and crumble.
Add green beans.
Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
Turn down and simmer for 4 or 5 hours, adding a little water as is necessary, but have sauce pretty thick when you serve them.
