2 Egg Yellow Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Sift
    together
    flour,
    baking
    powder and salt.
    Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs, one
    at
    a time, beating well after each addition.
    Beat in vanilla.
    Add
    dry
    ingredients
    alternately with milk and water, beating well after each addition.
    Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch
    cake
    pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until cake tests
    done.
    Cool in pan on rack.
    Makes 16 servings.
