Stewed Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. tomatoes
    1 c. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Select small potatoes and peel. Cook whole until done. Drain off water. Add milk about 1-inch above potatoes. Add 1/2 stick butter; salt and pepper to taste. Let this heat slowly so as not to burn the milk. Mix plain flour, about 2 tablespoons, in 1/2 cup of milk. Shake until smooth. Slowly add to very hot potatoes, a little at a time, until milk gets as thick as you like. This is good for the small new potatoes.
