Cottage Cheese Cocoa Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. creamed cottage cheese
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Press cottage cheese through a sieve.
    Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
    Blend in cottage cheese and blend thoroughly.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating 1 minute after each egg.
    Mix buttermilk alternately with flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in chopped walnuts.
    Turn into well buttered and lightly floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
