Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Melt chocolate with shortening.
    Cool.
    Sift together flour with powder and salt.
    Beat eggs until light; add sugar, then chocolate mixture.
    Blend.
    Add flour, vanilla and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
