Buckeye'S (Peanut Butter Balls) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
    1 c. room temperature butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (16 oz.) box powdered sugar
    6 oz. bag chocolate chips
    2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients (best done with your hands) until stiff.
    Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet.
    Chill in refrigerator until set, about 30 minutes.
    In a double boiler with water at simmer, melt chocolate and shortening.
    Remove from heat.
    Using toothpick dip peanut butter balls to cover 3/4 of ball.
    Smooth over toothpick holes and chill.
