Autumn Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 large can crushed pineapple (with juice)
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 (3 oz.) box lemon Jell-O
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    1 c. chopped, unpeeled apples
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Boil pineapple, juice and water 3 minutes.
    Add Jell-O and dissolve.
    Then add cream cheese and blend until dissolved.
    Let cool.
    Then add apples, nuts, celery and Cool Whip.
    Cool in refrigerator until congealed.
    Serve on lettuce leaves.
