Ingredients

10 to 12 medium carrots
4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. parsley
Preparation

Peel carrots; cut into 2-inch cylinders.
Bring all ingredients except parsley, to a boil over moderate heat.
Cover and simmer over low heat.
Shake skillet occasionally to roll carrots about. If liquid cooks away too fast, add more water.
